Problems you may notice
• Dryer stops mid-cycle and displays Err3 or E3 on the control panel
• Clothes remain damp or wet after a complete drying cycle
• Dryer runs but produces little to no heat
• Unusually long drying times even on high heat settings
• Dryer may shut off automatically after a few minutes of operation
• Error code appears intermittently or consistently
Possible Causes
• Faulty thermal sensor or temperature probe that has failed or become misaligned
• Heating element is broken or has burned out
• Broken or damaged thermistor preventing temperature detection
• Poor electrical connection to the heating element or sensor
• Lint accumulation on or around the thermal sensor affecting readings
• Blown thermal fuse due to overheating conditions
• Wiring harness disconnection between control board and heating components
• Control board failure preventing proper temperature signal interpretation
Precautionary measures
• Ensure the dryer is properly plugged into a grounded 240-volt outlet and check that the power cord shows no visible damage
• Verify the circuit breaker for the dryer is in the ON position; flip it OFF then back ON if it appears tripped
• Open and fully close the dryer door several times to ensure it latches completely and activates the door latch switch
• Remove and clean the lint filter thoroughly, then check the exhaust vent outside for blockages or lint buildup
• Verify the dryer exhaust hose is not kinked, crushed, or blocked, and that warm air is flowing freely from the exterior vent
• Avoid overloading the dryer drum; reduce load size and run smaller batches
• Check that you are selecting appropriate heat settings for your load type
• Unplug the dryer from the outlet or turn off the circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then power it back on to perform a complete reset
• Run a test cycle after the reset to see if the error clears
• If the Err3 or E3 error persists after trying these steps, contact a professional appliance repair technician or appliance repair support service to diagnose and repair the heating element, thermal sensor, or control board
