Problems you may notice
• Dishwasher stops mid-cycle and displays F50 error code
• No water entering the dishwasher tub during wash phase
• Weak or reduced water pressure during operation
• Dishwasher fills very slowly or incompletely
• Error code appears consistently on every wash cycle
• Dishes not getting cleaned due to insufficient water
Possible Causes
• Water inlet valve is stuck, clogged, or malfunctioning
• Kinked, pinched, or obstructed inlet hose
• Water supply valve behind dishwasher is partially or fully closed
• Mineral buildup or sediment blocking water flow (common in hard water areas across USA)
• Faulty water level sensor preventing proper fill detection
• Clogged inlet hose filter screen
• Low water pressure from home's main supply line
• Defective inlet valve solenoid coil
• Broken or disconnected hose connection
Precautionary measures
• Power cycle the dishwasher: Turn off the circuit breaker serving the dishwasher for 60 seconds, then turn it back on to reset the system
• Check the water supply valve: Locate the shut-off valve behind or under the dishwasher and ensure it is fully open (turned counterclockwise)
• Inspect the inlet hose: Pull the dishwasher out slightly and examine the water inlet hose for kinks, bends, or pinching that could restrict water flow
• Check inlet hose connections: Verify both ends of the inlet hose are tightly connected at the dishwasher and the wall water supply
• Clean the inlet filter screen: Turn off water supply, disconnect the inlet hose from the dishwasher, and flush out any debris or sediment from the screen filter
• Verify home water pressure: Check if other faucets in your kitchen have normal water pressure; low pressure everywhere indicates a home supply issue
• Ensure door is fully latched: Confirm the dishwasher door closes completely and locks securely, as improper latching can trigger sensor errors
• Run a test cycle: After each check, run a short wash cycle to see if the F50 error clears
• If error persists after these checks: Contact a professional appliance repair technician who can test the inlet valve, water level sensor, and perform internal diagnostics to identify and repair the specific component failure
