Problems you may notice
• Washer stops mid-cycle and displays E4 error code
• No water or reduced water entering the drum during wash or rinse cycles
• Wash cycle fails to start despite being initiated
• Water does not fill to expected levels
• Audible clicking or buzzing sounds from inlet valve area
• Error message appears on digital display panel
Possible Causes
• One or both water inlet hoses disconnected or loosely connected
• Hot and/or cold water supply valves turned off or partially closed
• Inlet hoses kinked, pinched, or bent restricting water flow
• Water inlet valve malfunction or valve solenoid failure
• Clogged or frozen inlet hose screens (mineral buildup common in certain US regions)
• Water pressure too low from main supply line
• Inlet valve electrical connection loose or corroded
• Faulty water level sensor
• Control board communication error with inlet valve circuit
Precautionary measures
• Verify both hot and cold water supply shutoff valves behind the washer are fully open by turning counterclockwise
• Check that both inlet hoses are securely connected to water supply faucets and washer inlet ports
• Inspect both inlet hoses along their entire length for kinks, pinches, bends, or damage
• Straighten any kinked hoses and ensure they are routed without sharp bends
• Turn off the water supply valves and carefully disconnect inlet hoses to inspect the small screens at connection points for sediment or mineral deposits, then rinse gently if needed
• Ensure the washer drum is not overloaded, as this can affect water inlet operations
• Verify your home's circuit breaker for the washer is in the ON position
• Check that adequate water pressure exists at other faucets in your home
• Confirm the washer door or lid is fully closed and latches completely before operation
• Power cycle the washer by turning off the circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then turn back ON
• Run a test cycle with no clothes to isolate whether the issue is water supply related
• If error persists after all checks, contact a professional appliance repair technician or appliance repair support service to diagnose inlet valve or sensor issues
